Living Space
Anthony Gansauer“Living Space” is an ongoing photographic project documenting the interiors of homes throughout South Carolina, both in the presence and absence of their inhabitants. Through bedrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and overlooked corners, the work creates an intimate portrait of life in a particular place and moment in time. The photographs focus on the traces people leave behind, family photographs, worn furniture, collected objects, and the subtle marks of daily routines, revealing the ways our environments quietly reflect who we are. At its core, the project is a meditation on home and the relationship between people and the spaces they inhabit. Whether occupied or empty, these interiors become portraits in themselves, carrying evidence of memory, identity, and belonging.
